What practical use has evolutionary theory? We think the answer to this is A LOT!

We study the ecology and evolution of microbes using a combination of mathematics, statistics, bioinformatics and experiments, with the goal of using these evolutionary insights to better inform public health policy and biomedical research. We study two main topics – the evolution of antimicrobial resistance and the link between the microbiome and health.
